Guzia - Holi Festival

Guzia 


Guzia is associated with the festival Holi. Very popular north indian sweet....

Ingredients:

4/5 Table spoon of Ghee
Oil/ ghee to fry

2 cups Maida
1/4 cup Suzi

For filling
Mawa 250 gm
1/2 cup almonds and Raisins
shredded dries Coconut

Sugar 200gm
Water

Method:

1. Mix Maida and Suzi .. and then add 4/5 tablespoon of ghee. Mix well.
2. Add water and kneed the dough (make tight tough)
3. Cover the dough with damp cloth.



 4. Fry Mawa / khoya in kadai till it become brown in color.
5. Add some sugar(as per taste).
6. Add almonds and Raisins ... add some shredded coconut
7. fry for sometime and allow it to cool

8. Divide the dough into small balls...
9. Roll each ball and make itno 3 or 4 inch...
10. fill the mixture and fold it using water on the edges .. .. you can use mould...


11.  Heat the ghee or oil
12. fry the guzia on midum high flame till golden brown.





Dip the Guzia's in Sugar syrup and garnish with Almonds and Coconut....
