Moong Dal Chilla
Ingredients
- Yellow moong dal - 2 cups (Rinse and Soaked for alteast 2-3 hrs)
- Green chillies - 4, chopped
- Asafoetida - a pinch
- Salt - as required
- Oil - for cooking
- Water - 1 cup
- Boiled potatoes - 2, cut into cubes
- Green peas - 1 cup (Boiled)
- Cumin seeds - 1 tsp
- Green chillies - 2, chopped
- Dried mango powder or amchoor - 1 or 2 tbsp
- Oil - 1 tbsp
Method
For stuffing, heat the pan, put 2 tablespoon oil, cumin seeds and green chillies.
Add potatoes, green peas, salt and mango powder.
For chilla,
Grind the soak dal with salt, green chillies and water (as required).
Mix Asafoetida
Add/put oil on non-stick pan. Take moong dal paste and spread on pan. put some oil on mixture and side of the chilla
Cook untill side get little brown, and now turn it over.
Put stuffing in the middle of the chilla and fold it.
Serve with chutney.
